    One filthy attic

Step 1- is vacuum/removal/disposal of the old material. Once your attic has been cleaned, we will sanitize it with a special cold fogging machine and Concrobium mold killer solution. The fogging process will very quickly elevate the attics relative humidity to 100% as the machine atomizes and sprays the solution throughout the attic. The natural propensity of humidity to transfer to drier air ensures that no crack or corner will escape the treatment process. The application of Concrobium is completely harmless to humans, yet lethal to mold/mildew (fungus). Your attic humidity will return to normal within an hour or two of treatment.

Step 2- is to have us remediate any problems with your existing ventilation such as kitchen or bathroom fans blowing warm or moist air into the attic. If you don’t have these fans in your home, the attic being in it’s cleaned and empty state, is the ideal time to have us install them. If you live in an older home (pre 1985), you should consider having us draftproof your attic for maximum energy savings. Again, with the attic empty, and us already on site, the extra time and cost is minimized.

Step 3- is to add soffit ventilation chutes and blow in your new insulation. We use only Owens Corning ProPink loosefill. With ultra low irritation and airborne particulate, we can make snow angels in our underwear with this stuff, not that we’d do that..we’re just saying…it’s wonderful to work with and share with homeowners, especially homeowners with dust allergies or asthma.  Did you know? Owens Corning was the first insulation manufacturer, to qualify for the stringent GreenGuard product emission standard, for children and schools. Non-combustible, non-corrosive, formaldehyde free, mold and fungus resistant, minimum 50% recycled content and through our distributor, it’s made in Canada 😀

Step 4- Enjoy your dry, healthy, safe attic space. Forever.
